The other day I was doing housework, and as I was pulling clean clothes from the dryer I heard Reese start to pitch an awful fit. I came upstairs to find this(see photo).
Apparently, he was furious that the toy he was wrestling with pinned him.
If you look close you can tell he was having a fit, his face was still kind of blotchy. This isn't your typical happy baby face photo, and that is why I like it so much. It tells a story.
My Maple Pecan Crunch cereal is getting soggy, I better go finish it.

My cereal is delicious, so glad I took the chance.
I just wanted everyone else to get a laugh out of this too. Look at Ben and his Mini-Me.
Other updates: Reese graduated from his cradle to a crib. So far so good on that. Maddie is passing all of her classes at school. She and the neighbor girl across the street enjoy playing in the snow whenever possible. Ben is hanging in there at work. Sounds like he keeps getting opportunities to work on new and different projects.
We haven't won the lottery yet. We will probably buy a ticket sometime soon to up our odds. Until that happens, we are just laying low and "keeping it real".

These are the days of our lives.
Well, Reese is officially driving me crazy (yes, I know I didn't have far to go).
He must be on some kind of uppers, because he is on a sleep strike. He napped for a total of about an hour and half yesterday, and was up about every hour all night. And the kicker is that at one time he was awake for over two hours. He has now been awake since 7:00 am, full of attitude. I am so pleased. There should really be some kind of special font one can use to express sarcasm.
I am thankful for photos, so that in times like this I can remember how sweet my boy can be.
At least I got the dishwasher loaded and his diapers washed already this morning. So I can feel good about that, even if I look and feel like I have been backed over by the short bus.
I wonder if I can get away with sneaking a bowl of cereal. I need sustenance, so I think I am going for it - wish me luck.

Well, we survived the holidays without feeding ourselves to death - but only narrowly.
Last time I checked (last week) on Maddie's grades she was doing well. I think her lowest grade right now is a C+. Not too shabby. She got a lot of really fun stuff for Christmas, so she's still glassy-eyed with glee.
Since I last posted Reese has cut his second tooth (on his five month birthday, January 3rd) and started a few new foods. He now enjoys sweet potatoes and carrots as well as the rice cereal. He has lukewarm feelings about the peas, but eats them alright. The pears we tried this morning are another story though. He managed to make a face and gag on ever bite of the pears. So far he isn't enjoying fruit. It seems as though he really likes his cereal the most, but carrots are a close second. He is losing his long red hair and getting a fair amount of blonde fuzz all over his round little head now.
Ben and I are maintaining our sanity despite our children trying to rob us of it. Things are well with our family, so far 2007 has been kind to us. I am including a few snapshots, but I need to wrap up this post and get back to the laundry.
Take care, I hope everyone has an exceptionally good year.
